Team Standings and Score Entry Instructions



How Team Standings Are Determined

Trophy Club - Roanoke Soccer Association teams in the age groups U9 and above compete with teams from other soccer associations within the Northern Mid-Cities Soccer League. Scores are recorded, and standings are determined by a 9-point system.

A win is worth 6 points plus 1 point for each goal scored up to 3 goals.
A loss is worth 0 points plus 1 point for each goal up to 3 goals.
A tie is worth 3 points plus 1 point for each goal up to 3 goals.
A forfeit will be scored as a 3 to 0 win in favor of the non-forfeiting team, for a total of 9 points to the non-forfeiting team, and 0 points to the forfeiting team.

The team in each league or division which accumulates the highest number of points during the regular season shall be the first place team, with other places following in descending order of points. TCRSA teams finishing in first, second, or third place in their division are awarded trophies.

Teams in the U5, U6, U7, and U8 age groups do not record scores or standings. Each team receives a participation award.

Standings are maintained by the Northern Mid-Cities Soccer League.
