BSA Troop 79 Welcomes you to our website.
About Our Troop:
Troop 79 is chartered through the Versailles Lions Club. We serve age 11-17 boys from Versailles and the surrounding areas. We offer a high quality BSA scouting program stressing camping, outdoor activities, high adventure and advancement of as many scouts possible toward the rank of Eagle Scout. We observe and promote a high standard of conduct, appearance and achievement to our scouts but also strive to make fun and enjoyment an integrated part of our program. We are guided by the principles set forth by the Scout Laws, Scout Motto, & Scout Slogan. It is our goal to help scouts become responsible young men of good character who make a positive contribution to the community. We are a member of the Miami Valley Council. We currently have 30 scouts and 18 adults registered.

 Meetings:
Troop Meetings:
Are held at the VCC church at the corner of S. West & W. Ward St in Versailles. Meeting start at 7:00 on Monday nights, but check calendar for dates. The meetings activities are planned by the scouts in the PLC meeting.

PLC Meetings:
Are held at Tom's house on the first Monday after the first Thursday of the month. Meeting start at 7:00. All boys with leadership positions are asked to attend these meetings. Boy plan meeting agendas and outing at this meeting.

 Committee Meetings:
Are usually held at John's house on the second Thursday of the month. Meeting start at 7:00. Committee member and any adult that has a boy in scouts are welcome to attend.
