Scouts should be responding to the site message board!!!!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALL STAR and LIFE SCOUTS. It has come to our attention that not everyone may understand what is required in order to advance to these ranks. In addition to merit badges and projects you are required to actually perform your leadership duties and actually be active in the troop. The six month requirement is the minimum time to be active and advance to the next rank but if it takes you longer to complete all the requirements you need to also continue to be active the whole time. Eagle scout candidates have even a higher standard. Absent an extraordinary reason or circumstance, if you regularly miss meetings, fail to perform your leader duties or fail to attend most of our out of meeting activities you will find, like one of our current members, that your ability to advance will be postponed until you satisfy the adults leaders and the Troop Committee that you are actively participating.This should not be a surprise. It is in the handbook, has been talked about at meetings and committee reviews, was in last summers newsletter and posted on this site at MY SITE NEWS.
