Troop History
Our Troop was established in 1911 on Sixth Street in Richmond, Virginia. We were Troop 12 to begin with, because we were the 12th Troop formed in the Richmond area. Over time when District numbers were added we became Troop 412. Sadly the Troop was disbanded in 1931, due to the Depression, but was re-chartered in 1934. In the late 1970’s, the Troop moved to Cool Springs Baptist Church in Battlefield District 5, where we still meet today. There was already a Troop 512 in the Battlefield District so we changed from Troop 412 to 521 which is what we are to this day. We celebrated our 70th anniversary in February of 2004.
