Scouting News
Scouts and Parents,
It was reported that the troop collected 1000 pounds of food for Scouting for food. All Patrol Leaders were to give a list of names to Mrs. Carol Cantu of the boys that contributed to the food drive.
Congratulations to all the boys that made rank advancement at the Board of Reviews!
According to the February calendar all patrols are to meet at a time of their own choosing during the week of February 15 - 21. The only meeting time I was made aware of was the Beaver Patrol is to meet on Tuesday, February 17 at Mr. Dale Schuffert's house at 6:30. All other patrols check with your leaders if needed.
I have not received any additional information on the Merit Badge College scheduled for March 14. When I do I will forward it ASAP as there were a lot of questions concerning the classes offered. Registration deadline is March 6 and the money is to be paid at the Boy Scout Office.
Our next troop meeting will be February 24 at 7:00 at the church. There will be a Citizenship in the Community class for several of the older boys. If you are scheduled to attend this class and realize you are not going to be there, please let Mrs. Beth Maness know. There are only 10 slots available and someone else could go in your place. This is a class B uniform meeting.
The next troop meeting is scheduled for February 28 (Saturday) from 10:00 - 11:30.
The next Court of Honor is March 3. If you have anything to turn in to Mrs. Maness be sure you do so no later than the 24th in order for her to have everything prepared for the ceremony on the 3rd.
For the guys completing the aviation badge, make certain Mr. Preston sees your plane so he can turn your name in on his list on the 24th as well
