Volunteer Bond Refund

  • Volunteer Bond Refund – “How do I get my $50.00 back?” Before answering the question, the following explains why the league implemented this. The league is not looking for the money; we are looking for help running league operations. We are looking for roughly 4 hours of time per family. We would love for everyone to get their money back. There is a Volunteer Refund Form under the handouts section. You call fill out the form and have the appropriate league representative sign off on it. We will be keeping track and report back to the league when a refund has been earned. Here are a few options:
    • Concessions – Work 2 games at the concession stand. Doreen Ohlett olmcdoreen@yahoo.com is in charge of the Pepe stand, Michelle Ryerson ryersonm@optonline.net  is in charge of Fanny.
    • Field Prep/Closure – Help prep and close the field for games. The players really appreciate playing on a pristine lined field. 4 preps/closing will satisfy your requirement.
    • Wine Tasting – Contact Kim Pentaleri (Wine Tasting Fundraiser Chairman). She is always looking for volunteers (ticket sales, silent auction baskets, collecting tickets etc.) kpentaleri@optonline.net.
    • Field Upkeep – The league needs help with upkeep on the fields such as getting batting cages together, general labor. Contact Al Pentaleri (Head of Fields) or John Roon. apentaleri@optonline.net
    • Manage/Coach – All rostered coaches (the people we report to Williamsport) are entitled to a refund.
    • Got another talent – Let us know if there is something else you might be able to contribute to the league. You can email us at Tritownll@aol.com.

Tri-Town Softball Merges with Par-Troy East Little League

As you may be aware, the enrollment in our softball program at the upper levels has been declining over the last 5 years.  In order to continue to provide a quality Little League softball program, I am pleased to announce that Tri-Town Little League (TT) has combined our softball program with Par-Troy East Little League (PTE). This change will affect girls ages 9 and older. Our girls will be integrated onto PTE teams and each PTE team will have multiple TT girls on it. By having them participate in a much larger program, they will have a much better opportunity to grow as softball players.  They will practice and play the majority of their games at the PTE complex located off Vail Road in Parsippany. PTE has a first class complex with scoreboards on the fields, a brand new concession stand and permanent bathrooms.  This combination makes our girls eligible for the combined post season All Star team.

PTE has an extensive volunteer program. You will be able to satisfy your volunteer bondrequirements either with TT or with PTE to get your TT bond refunded.  Our girls ages 8 and under will stay in our TT bantam & tee-ball programs.

As a result of these changes, our board of directors has decided to waive the late registration fee for softball players through February 29, 2012. Simply sign your daughter(s) up and we will refund the late fees back to your credit card. We understand that this is a big change for our TT softball program. We will offer a full refund to anyone who requests it, due to their inability to make the commitment. We will offer this refund through February 29, 2012.

We look forward to a great partnership with our friends at PTE Little League!
