Clinic @ Proehlific Park - Dec 12th 

The clinic held at Proehlific Park was a huge success. We had just short of 50 players turn up. A great launch pad for the upcoming season. Many thanks, once again, to UNCG Rugby for the coaching support at this event.

 Invictus

A great rugby movie coming for the Holiday season. Get your family and friends out to watch Invictus starring Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman which opens Dec 11th.

Triad Bulldogs events will be upcoming to support the Greensboro showings. A great opportunity to market our great sport in the Triad.    

October 17TH morning - MEGA YARD SALE AT ST PAULS CHURCH

 ALL our first fundraiser is going to be a mega yard sale. Bring along all those items you want to move on and sell them at our event. We need every family to participate. Volunteers needed to ensure a successful event.

$460 raised....great job by all....

Fall Practice - September 1st at Pilot Elementary 

First practice session is September 1st at Pilot. Usual time of 7-8.30pm. Initially we shall be practicing just once a week. Lets see you there on Tuesday.

Fall Ball - Charlotte Sevens Sept 27th

We are going to run various events through the Fall keeping the sport of rugby ticking over ahead of the spring season for 2010.

Sunday Sept 27th we'll be entering a U15 and U19 team. Let Coach Richard know if you are available.

Triad Bulldogs 2009 U15 State Champions

In its third year of existence the Triad Bulldogs U15 beat an excellent Chapel Hill team to secure its first State Championship. The boys had a perfect 9-0 season and it was the ideal send off for 9 of our players who will move up to U19 next season. 

Triad Bulldogs U19's edged out by Matthews for the Plate 

In its first season the U19 team did the coaches, the supporters and most of all themselves proud this season. They made it to the plate final and lost a tense battle against Matthews by 6 points to 5. We only loose a couple of players this season and with 9 moving up there is a real sense of excitement for this program for next year.

We had a great turnout on Dec 6th for the clinic and first official practice.

There is still time for new players to join us.

Encourage your friends to join us for the U19 and U15 season starting next Spring.

We have practice next Saturday the 13th @ 10-11.30 am.

Partnership with UNCG 

TYRA is pleased to announce the establishment of a partnership with UNCG Mens Club Team. They are helping us with coaching, mentoring and officiating of the games. Special thanks go to Coach Jeremy Linne, Club President Spencer Dockery and Team Captain Jason Coleman. They will also be leading a recruiting drive into the local High Schools.

Partnership with Wake Forest University Mens Team

TYRA is pleased to announce the establishment of a partnership with WFU Mens Club. Wake Forest is a D2 team led by the Director of Rugby Pat Kane. Pat is also a member of the board of the North Carolina Rugby Football Union and we are delighted to have his expertise helping us build this game in and around the Winston area.

WFU will hold a clinic for our players on Jan 11th from 2-3.30 pm at their field. Please mark your calendars. They have also very kindly allowed us to use their field for games when they are playing at home. First game of the season will be Jan 31st.

Exciting times for the development of this great game in the Triad region.
