TYLA Mission Statement

The Triad Youth Lacrosse Association will add value to the quality of life in the Triad by establishing the game of lacrosse as an expanded athletic opportunity for participation, teamwork, and commitment to excellence for all young people, regardless of gender, ethnic origin, size, age, weight, or skill. TYLA will support where and when possible, those players needing financial assistance to play. Everyone who wants to play lacrosse will play.

TYLA is committed to equal participation and to the view that to play the game is great, to win the game is greater, to love the game is the greatest. TYLA regards academic excellence as integral with lacrosse. TYLA has as its long term goal the establishment of lacrosse teams in Triad area schools through building a strong player feeder network.

TYLA is proud to be a Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) partner.  For more information on the PCA, please see the PCA Info menu icon.

Parking – YOU MUST ADHERE TO THIS STRICT POLICY

Jesse Wharton school requires that no parent or spectator drive down to the field under any circumstance.

You may not pull up to the gravel road to drop off your child!  You must park your car in the slotted parking places and drop your child off there.

There is NO DROP OFF AREA at Jesse Wharton.

You may not drive past the barricade that says "No Lacrosse Traffic".

Cones may be set up to prevent cars from driving to the top of the dirt road.

DO NOT DRIVE PAST THE CONES!  THESE RULES ARE FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILDREN!!!

The above policy is in effect even if the cones and/or barricade is not set up!

No Pets!!!  - Greensboro Parks & Recreation does not allow pets at their facilities.

Drop off times and pick up times  -   No player may be dropped off for any TYLA sanctioned event more than 15 minutes prior to the arrival time set up by coaches.  Please do not leave your child unattended if no coaches or team parents are present.

Please be sure to pick up your child promptly at the end of each TYLA sanctioned event.  TYLA coaches are required to stay at the field until each child is picked up.  As a courtesy to our volunteer coaches, please do not make them wait for you to pick up your child
