Safety

We ask that you make sure that your player brings something to drink to practices and games. Starting in June, it is important for the players to stay hydrated to avoid heat exhaustion. Sport drinks like Gatorade or PowerAide and even water help to prevent heat exhaustion. Also, make sure that your players are properly protected against mosquitoes by spraying them down with a repellant that contains DEET. This is important later in the season.

Practices and games will be stopped in the event of lightning or severe storms. If you see lightning or bad weather moving into the area, please return to the practice or game field to be ready to pick up your child if the practice or game is called off. If inclement weather starts before a practice or a game, check the Tri-Cities website home page to see if practices or games for that day have been cancelled. Do not assume that a practice or game is cancelled just because it looks like rain.

Field Days

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY! We can always use volunteers at Field Days. Our field days are usually the first and second weekends in April. We start at 9:00 am on Saturdays. Any & all assistance is greatly appreciated - many hands make light work!  We need people to help move the picnic tables, trash cans; prep and groom the fields, pick up trash, etc. Field preparation continues until it is complete. The more help we get, the sooner the diamonds are ready for use!

Field Locations

Our baseball and softball fields are owned by the Dundee Park District with the exception of Parkview, which is owned by the City of Carpentersville. We, at Tri-Cities, use these fields in conjunction with the Park District, the City of Carpentersville and the City of West Dundee. We are required to follow their guidelines and get their approval to make any changes to the fields. All the work at the fields are done by volunteers. We ask that you respect the equipment used t maintain the fields. Just ask a Board Member or a Manager if you have any questions on how to maintain a field or use a piece of equipment. Click on the field name for a map.

Equipment

Parents are responsible for providing baseball shoes, athletic supporter and cup
(if applicable) and proper dress for practices for their children. Tri-Cities will supply the players with their game uniform. Other items used by each team will include, bats, helmets, and catchers gear. We ask that each child take care of the supplied equipment.
It is costly for the league to replace this equipment every year.

Concession Stands

The concession stands at the various fields are owned and operated by Tri-Cities Little League. Proceeds from the sales at these stands allow Tri-Cities the ability to purchase items such as, new baseball equipment, chalk for the fields, field dry, baseballs and parts to maintain the field equipment. We ask that you support these stands and provide feedback to Board Members on any improvements or changes you would like to see made to these concession stands.

Tri-Cities Managers, Coaches and Board Members

All Tri-Cities Managers, Coaches and Board Members are volunteers; no one is paid to coach or serve on the Board. These individuals volunteer a significant amount of time and provide significant effort before, after, and during the season to help make it a success. We ask that you respect this effort and the amount of time all of these volunteers put into the season.  If you are interested in volunteering please talk to your Manager, Coach or Board Member.  We are always looking for more volunteers.
