This division is a true High School aged division, open to girls born in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994 & 1995....umpired games, under the lights, playoffs and standings.......this division has something for every level of player!

6 & Under Tee-Ball Division
GAMES PLAYED ON TUESDAY & THURSDAY
Tee-Ball Division is the "First Step" players will take into the TRGSL. Open to girls born in 2003 & 2004. Girls are taught the fundamentals in an enviornment where scores are not kept but fun and instruction are at a premium!
T-Ball is where the love affair with the game begins. Imagine it. Players, young in age, take the field with a spring in their step and their caps pulled low to protect them from the late afternoon sun. Its a timeless moment in Toms River USA and its about softball, a game only a little bit younger than America itself.
It is a great pursuit for 1st timers both kids and parents. Children who are shy or have not been exposed to other children in a group can easily merge into a defensive position with a parent by their side. Kids really want their parents to be involved, and T-Ball is the perfect arena for parents and their children to connect.
In a well-run T-Ball program with coaches (parents) at every base and in the outfield, players get to experience time in the field at each base, the pitchers mound and the outfield. Smaller teams provide more opportunities for kids to hit, run the bases, field, throw and have a great time! There is no pitching the coach or catcher places the ball on a Tee at home plate for the batter to hit. And keeping score should be a no-no, as children will be exposed to the competitive nature of sports soon enough.
T-Ball is just a great introduction to the sport of softball and the children all seem to have a fantastic time. It is a great avenue by which to involve everyone in your neighborhood while at the same time exposing your up-and-coming athletes to camaraderie and many valuable life lessons.
To see kids enjoying the game is what its all about. You cant replace that! Remember, good players can play with their bodies, but great players play with their hearts and souls, as well. If a community puts their heart and souls into the development of their youngest residents, the reward will be priceless.

8 & Under Bantam Division
GAMES PLAYED ON TUESDAY & THURSDAY
Open to girls born in 2001 & 2002........Coach-pitch with the emphasis on learning the basics in a fun and relaxed enviornment. As the season progresses, girls may be allowed to start to pitch to each other on a limited basis.

Open to girls born in 1999 & 2000. This is a competitive division, with Coach-pitch and Coach-umpired games, scores and standings kept as well as end of season playoffs!

This division is open to girls born in 1996, 1997 and 1998. Full ASA rules with slight modifications........girls pitch to each other......umpires......scores and standings are kept and Playoffs at the end of the season!
