LINCOLNSHIRE, IL  (February 21, 2011)  -- The North Shore Baseball League, which has been providing outstanding competition for a quarter of a century, is accepting registrations for its 2011 TRAVEL BALL NORTH SHORE season through March 14, it was announced today.

NSBL / TRAVEL BALL NORTH SHORE will offer 13 leagues during 2011 for boys ranging from 8 to 14 years of age.    The regular season will begin June 1.  A four day single elimination tournament will be held at the conclusion of the summer competition.

The TRAVEL BALL NORTH SHORE 2011 will be comprised of "A" and "B" Community Divisions, each with at least six teams competing in each individual age group for boys from 9 to 14.  TRAVEL BALL NORTH SHORE also will have an 8 year old Community Division for the second year.

Nearly 20 communities from Chicago's northern suburbs were involved in the organization's winter planning meeting for the upcoming 2011 season.
