400M HURDLER WORKOUT

Workouts designed for the 400 hurdler
*run a 200 m with hurdles (5) and then 200 m flat.
*300m with hurdles (7) and then 100 flat.
*200m flat and then 200m with 5 hurdles.
*100 flat and 300 with 7 hurdles.
This will help to increase your sprint endurance. Also, 440-600 m sprints are effective to increase sprint endurance.
Another example of a 400m workout include:
*50 m flat followed by 200m with 5 hurdles.
*200m with 5 hurdles and 100 flat.
*100m flat with 200m and 5 hurdles.
*150m flat followed by 200 with 5 hurdles.
*200m with 5 hurdles followed by 150m flat.
These drills will develop stamina, speed and tempo. It is good to alternate drills to work on both aspects of hurdling for the 400m event. Using a combination of hurdles and distance will help your performance level.
