Sunday, January 7OLV, SFX win School Spirit Competition
Our Lady of the Valley and St. Francis Xavier Schools have been named as the winners of the School Spirit Competition at the 2007 Toy Bowl Jamboree. For the first time in the short three-year history of the Jamboree, two winners were named; OLV won for Saturday and SFX for Sunday. This is SFX's third year to win the competition.
Both schools showed school spirit by displaying signs, packing the gym with fans wearing their school colors, and cheering positively for their teams. Additionally, SFX players supported each other by painting their faces -- and, for the boys, their chests -- during each others' games.
As the winner of the School Spirit Competition, the entire 7th and 8th Grade class bodies of both OLV and SFX will be treated to a pizza party and a plaque to display in their trophy cases.

Season winners announced; trophies to be presented Sunday at Holy Family
Toy Bowl congratulates the following teams on placing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd for the regular season. Trophies for the Starter and Flea Divisions will be presented at Holy Family High School this Sunday, March 4, at 11:30 a.m. Trophies for the Junior and Senior Divisions will be presented following each division's championship game.
