Topsail Supporters,

The 2010 season is finally upon us, and due to the efforts of all of the players and parents in the offseason we are certainly expecting great things. With six home football games, you, your family, and your friends should have plenty of opportunities to witness an exciting brand of high school football that will be reflective of the character of student-athletes that we have here at THS.Most of the young men playing on Friday nights this fall will have spent over 500 hours collectivelyin the weight room, in speed development, at camps, at fund raisers, providing community service, and on the field from January of this year until now in preparation for Fridays this fall. The seniors who have played for us for all four years will have spent a total of nearly 3500 hours in our program by season's end...that's equivalent to nearly 150 24-hour days. Not only have our players worked hard in a football capacity, but they've also worked very hard in the classroom. Our team GPA during the fall of last season was a 3.3, and we expect to surpass that this season with this group. We have graduated some very fine individuals with great character over the past several years, and our current group is as good as I can recall in my years of coaching. It is our goal to provide a great source of entertainment and pride for the Topsail community for this season and many more to come.My wife, Alison, and my sons, Parker (12) and Tate (8) consider all of the members of the team and the FTF as members of our family. We are extremely proud to be a part of this great community, and it is our hope to see our own sons graduate from Topsail High School in the future.
