Tribal Lacrosse: Taryn King Memorial Fund

Saturday, February 25
Tri-Town Tribal Community,

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform the Tribal Community of the
tremendous loss suffered by the Family of Paul and Janice King of Georgetown.

Their oldest daughter, Taryn, passed away during a Bowdoin College Semester
abroad program in Galway, Ireland. There are few details on this sudden
cause of death.

Taryn was an exceptional student-athlete at Bowdoin and had recently
been named First Team All-American and NESCAC player of the year in field
hockey. She was also a very gifted lacrosse player.

Olivia, a u15 player, and Max, a u13 player, have been part of our program
for a long time. It will be very difficult for them to understand and deal
with the loss of their older sister.

I have contacted the Brooks School and arranged to make a donation to a
scholarship fund in memory of Taryn King on behalf of the Tribal Lacrosse
Community. In lieu of flowers, any of you wishing to add to this
donation can do it directly by sending a check payable to The Brooks School
(in memory of Taryn King) and mail it to:

Liz Cohn, Director of Gift Planning
Brooks School
1160 Great Pond Road
North Andover, Mass. 01845

You may also contact Liz at 978-725-6288. A separate notice will be sent
to the King Family recognizing each gift.

Best Regards,

Mark Mscisz

Taryn’s sister Olivia also played on Tribal until last year and is now attending Brooks, and Taryn’s brother, Max, plays on our U15 team.
