Cousin Ive Returns! But With Who?
IvanGrubisic
Cousin Ive Returned to Action Last Wednesday!

It seems the Cousin Ive saga is not over yet! Ahead of Wednesday night’s action against the Falcons, NK TG president Ivan Radoš was informed by a reliable source that hold-out defender and his own cousin, Ivan Grubisic would be showing up to play on Wednesday night. At first Radoš was surprised with the news that Cousin Ive was ending his hold-out. He was more shocked however to find out that Grubisic was not returning that night to end his hold-out and play for NK Tomislavgrad but rather showing up to play with NK TG’s greatest rivals, NK Hrvatski Vitez!!!

The news was not only a shock to Radoš but the entire NK TG organization. Ivan Grubisic was an original member of NK TG and his desire to withhold his services this session was a huge blow to the team. It resulted in Radoš having to pull to pull off a number of moves in the early part of the season to ensure success. With the team finally back on stable ground, Cousin Ive has taken matters one step further by helping the team NK TG needs to catch for first place!

Questions were raised as to whether Grubisic could in fact cross the picket line to be a scab for Vitez. Technically he is still under contract with NK TG so it remains to be seen whether he is legally allowed to play for another club. Still he did play last Wednesday night and perhaps may be in action against this week when the two sides face each other for the first time this season.

Radoš refused to answer questions on the matter and only released this statement: “Obviously this is more than just a player leaving the Club to play for a rival. This is a family matter.   We had a team-mate, a friend and a cousin who was unwilling to come to terms with the team and instead opted to stab us in the back and play for a rival.   I will refrain from any further comments at this time but you can rest assured that the players of NK TG are not too pleased with the actions of Cousin Ive.”

Surely the drama will continue…
