The 2010 season will be starting soon and we know all the Leagues Board of Directors have been working hard and preparing for it.

We of the District want wish you all a very joyous CHRISTmas and a Happy New Year to all involved in Little League and others as well.  Spend time with your families.

All League Safety Officers of Record listed on league data center should have received the information needed for the league safety plan.  It is the goal of this district to have all safety plans into little league and approved no later than February 28, 2010. If you need help call the District Administrator

The 11 & 12 Softball State tournament comes to completion. Thanks to Unicoi County for hosting an excellent tournament, all teams participating, and District 5 volunteer umpires.

Congratulations to our very own Daniel Boone 9 & 10 Year Old softball team for winning the State Championship!!!!

6/19/09 - Typo corrected for Zone 2 - 9 & 10 BB - Johnson County 2 will be playing Fairview instead of original posting of Jonesborough 2 (game #2). Correction 9 & 10 BB District will be held in Carter County as drawn on the 14th.  Note: The Zone 1 - 9 & 10 BB and Zone 2 - 11 & 12 BB brackets have changed from the drawings conducted on June 14th due to South Holston teams pulling out of the tournament (changes was incorporated with original brackets postings).

6/24 - Revision 1 - 11 & 12 SB District brackets changed - Jonesborough dropped from tournament.

6/25 - Revision 2 - JR District BB - JC Majors dropped from tournament. 

6/30 - Revision 3 - JR District BB - JC National dropped from tournament.

7/1 - Revision 4 - 11 & 12 District SB - As of now we have only five teams registered for state tournament - if this remains true the top two teams from District 5 will participate - thus championship game will not be played.

7/7 - Revision 5 - SR District BB - Jonesborough dropped from tournament.

TN District 5 2009 tournaments are complete.  Each team worked hard to obtain their division championship.  As the championships are won we would like to congratulate the champion's as well as each of the teams and all the players that participated for every player is a winner in our eyes!!!!

*Both teams will be particiating in State Tournament..  

Good luck to all our district champions at the state level.  Remember you are all representing your local league, community, and TN District 5.
