Roy,
Great job during the World Series. Terri and I watched you during the championship game. Made us proud to see one of own. You were even mentioned a couple times from the announcers.

Congadulations Roy on your Championship Game plate assignment! Outstanding!

It simply amazes me how far umpires in Tennessee have come. Your World Series appearance was well deserved. And add to that the dish for the big game... Icing on the cake. Way To Go!

Congradulations also to Dave, Cecile, Billy & Jim for their successes.

I think all of us who have aspirations and goals of accomplishing something great as an umpire, wonder if all the time, effort and hard work will ever pay off. The time it takes to reach our goals is a long and tiring road. But for those who stick with it and continue to strive for excellence are ALWAYS rewarded!! Dreams do come true.

Grasp this concept for one minute:
Prior to 2002, in the 50 year history of the Little League Worlds Series, not a single umpire from Tennessee had ever worked a World Series game. Not a single umpire! Now, just 3 years later, Tennessee has 3 World Series umpires and 3 more with World Series recommendations waiting for their name to be called. We as Tennessee umpires have made a name for ourselves. We have made those who make the decissions on who moves on, take notice. We has an entire State are "in the game". Personally, I am extremely proud be a Tennessee umpire!

For those who have that dream and aspire for greater things, keep working hard. Your day is closer then you think. If you don't believe that, just ask Phil or Roy, or Cecile or Billy or Dave.

CHIEF UMP
Florida District 10 Little League

Mr. Smith,
I am looking to move into your area in the near future and was just looking for Little Leagues in the area.
This is by far one of the best umpire web sites that I have seen.
Great job and keep up the good work.

Guys and Gals,
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers this past week. At a time like this, having the shoulders of your friends to lean on makes it easier to get through.

Thanks and God Bless

Great job guys, I've heard nothing but praise about our men & women in blue. I'm sorry that I couldn't have a bigger part in the organazation this past year, but I hope that changes this year. Looking forward to seeing you guys at the park. Have another great year and keep up the great work.
