Long time Titan standout, Stephen Hill, was selected by the NY Jets with the 43rd overall pick of the NFL Draft. The Jets traded up 4 spots to select Hill on day 2 of the draft. The Jets were won over by Hill's speed, athleticism and blocking skills. The 6'5 wide receiver from Georgia Tech posted a sizzling 4.31 in the 40 yard dash at the NFL Combine. A time that certainly shocked no one who had the opportunity see a young Hill race down the track years ago. After 3 years at Tech, where Hill averaged a whopping 25.5 yard per catch, Hill decided to make the leap to the NFL. Hill currently holds the Titans all time best long jump record of 25'5 and is also the all time long jump record holder in the state of Georgia.
According to general manager Mike Tannenbaum, Hill has the opportunity to come in and play right away and possibly start.
Congratulations to Stephen and his family! I certainly look forward to seeing him play on Sunday!

The long time Titan and 4 time NCAA All American qualified for the final with the fastest time of the semifinals at 7.45. Pinckney ran a 7.42 seasonal best in the final to headline a 1-2 sweep by the Lady Tigers as junior standout Kimberlyn Duncan finished a split-second back in second place at 7.43.
Pinckney and her Lady Tiger teammates return to action next weekend as they make their annual journey to New York to compete as part of one of the premier collegiate meets of the indoor season at the prestigious New Balance Collegiate Invitational to be held Feb. 3-4 at The Armory Track & Field Center.
