Coach Pope finished his 26th official year (28 total) of coaching high school baseball. This will be his 12th year as the head coach for the Titans. The 2002 team was runner-up in the state 4-A division. They went 27-4 and won the Western Regional Championship. The 2005 team finished 20-10 and made it to the final 4 in the state. The 2007 team was 20-6, was ranked in the top 20 in the country, and won the CPC title. The 2008 team went 16-9 and won the WSFC tournament. Pope's overall record at West is 207-81 (winning %.712) They have won conference titles in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009 and tournament titles in 1999, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2009. They have qualified for the State playoffs in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009
Prior to coming to West in 1992, Coach Pope was a teacher and coach at East Davidson, Ledford, and Monroe. Coach Pope has also coached 9 years of American Legion, and 21 years of Football.
In 1986 he served as a Graduate Assistant at Western Carolina, where he also played. While there he worked under Coach Jack Leggett (Clemson Head Coach), and coached Keith Leclair (Former ECU Head Coach) and Keith Shumate (NC A&T Head Coach). Coach Pope helped lead the Catamounts to the Southern Conference Title. He was in charge of the hitters and catchers.
Pope had the unique opportunity to coach against the Russian Army team in 1992, while at East Davidson.
Coach Pope has been part of 15 Conference Championships, and has been to the State Playoffs 17 times. He has had over 60 players continue on to play at the college level(35+ as head coach) and 10 make it to the Professional ranks. He was named CPC coach of the year in 2002 and 2004.
Coach Pope was involved in the State Games of North Carolina for 4 years. As an assistant coach for (2 years) the Region 5 team won a silver medal (in 2003). Serving as the Head Coach in 2004 the Region 5 Team also won a Silver Medal. In 2005 Coach Pope was an Assistant Coach for the West team that won the East/West All-Star series 3 games to none. In 2008 Pope was named as one of the coaches for Team North Carolina, for the North Carolina/South Carolina Baseball Classic. It was the first time Team North Carolina swept the series. Coach Pope just finished coaching Team North Carolina in the 2010 Diamond Prospects, Border Battle.
Coach Pope is married to Deborah C. Pope. Debbie is a teacher, and coaches the cheerleaders (8 time State Champions- 7 consecutive), at Ledford High School. They have 3 dogs Lola, Henry, and Scooter.

Coach "Mac" is a Graduate of West Forsyth High School in 1996. He played baseball at West and was part of a 12-0 conference championship as Junior. Coach Mac played in the All Sport/Pepsi National Tournament in Boca Raton, FL his senior year.
He is a graduate of Western Carolina University where he worked with the baseball team for 3 years under head Coach Rodney Hennon. Coach Hennon is now the head baseball coach at Georgia Southern University. In his last two years at Western, He coached at Fairview Middle School in Sylva, NC.
Coach Mac played a big part in the success of the 2002 (27-4), and the conference champions of 2004, 2005 and 2007. He works mainly with the hitters and infielders. In his 7 years at West, they have accumulated a record of 173-67. Caoch McIntosh has been the Head Coach for Post 522 the past 6 years.
Coach Mac is married to Erica Lallave, another former student, and Titanide, from West Forsyth. They have a son named Tyler Kevin, a daughter named Tanner Gray and a dog named Rocky |

Coach Roberts moved back down to the JV squad in 2003, after helping out with the varsity for a year. This is Coach Roberts 11th year helping at west. Coach Roberts will primarily be helping with the JV pitchers. Coach Roberts also helps with the football team. Coach Roberts has a wife named Beth, who teaches at West and a son Blair (who graduated from West in 2006). |

Coach Bovender is in his 6th year as the JV head coach. Coach Bovender spent his high school career at West Forsyth. "Bov" is married to another former student Margeret McRae, they have a daughter named Hannah, and 2 cats Titan and Lucia. |

Coach Bullard is a new addition to the staff (2nd Year). Brad played at West, and was a major player on the 2002 State runner-up team. Brad went on to play college baseball at Belmont Abbey and then graduated from UNC-Charlotte. Brad was the starting center fielder at West for 3 years, and will be working with the hitters and outfielders. Brad is a young, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable addition to the staff. Brad will also helps coach Post 522 in the summer. |
