IMPORTANT DATES
Wednesday, April 1, 2009 -- Baseball & Softball Practices Start
Sunday, April 19 -- Opening Day Spring Sports Parade and Festivities
Friday, May 1 -- Baseball & Softball Games Begin
AT REGISTRATION . . .
- Umpires: The Bobcats are proud to promote the opportunity for our players, once they have reached the age of 12, to begin to umpire baseball and softball games. Umpires will work at games that are at least two levels below their current age. For example, an umpire that is 14 years old can umpire games wherein the players are no older than ten years old. Umpire training clinics will be held in April. Attendance at the clinic is required for all new umpires.
- Team Mom and Team Mom League Rep Information: Get information sheets on the responsibilities of these positions and also sign up for Baseball or Softball League Rep if interested. Team Moms can volunteer through the coach once teams are established. Please mark your interest on your registration form.
- Picture Day Volunteers: We need eight people: four for the morning shift; four for the afternoon shift (each shift is four hours). Picture Day Volunteers will help with general organization and team line up. (Picture Day Volunteers get money off coupons to be used on their players’ picture costs!).
- Opening Day Parade Festivities: We are always in need of additional help for our annual Opening Day Parade to help with distributing snack tickets, general organization and team line up.
PICTURE DAYS
Pictures will be taken at Tinley Park High School, 6111 175th Street. NO SPIKES ALLOWED IN THE SCHOOL! DO NOT WEAR SPIKES TO PICTURES! If we are moved inside, we ask that you be respectful of school property.

Tinley Park Bobcat Registration Request Policy
It is the main objective of the Tinley Park Bobcats to provide positive experiences and “organized fun” for the members of our organization. It has become apparent over the last few years that a great deal of emphasis has been placed on honoring requests rather than creating a equitable and competitive league. This has happened in most of our sports and has resulted in teams being unbalanced, and subsequently a great number of players, parents and coaches being frustrated.
The commissioners and league reps for each sport will review their ratings systems and assemble teams based on the ratings and creating a competitive balance rather than honoring all requests. In all cases the “ratings” of the respective players will take precedence over a request.
Please note that a request is just that, a REQUEST, and not a guarantee. Please be aware of this before you register your child for any of the Bobcats sports. Requests are limited to one per player.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Important! Please visit the "Code of Conduct" tab on the Bobcats' homepage.
EVERYONE SIGNED A "CODE OF CONDUCT" ON THE BACK OF THE REGISTRATION FORM. PLEASE ABIDE BY THESE RULES AND ENJOY THE GAMES.
IT IS EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ASSURE THAT THE FIELD AND PLAYING AREAS ARE FREE OF GARBAGE AFTER EACH GAME. WE MUST RESPECT OUR PARKS AND TEACH OUR CHILDREN TO HAVE RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT.
ALL ALCHOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE STRICLTY FORBIDDEN AT GAMES AND ALL FIELDS.

In-House League: This league provides recreational and instructional level competition. Games are played throughout the week and Saturdays during the months of May and June.
