This site is dedicated to the Huntsville Sharks 92 fastpitch softball team. This team is made up of young ladies from across North Alabama and South Tennessee that share a common goal of wanting to play competive fastpitch softball. The core of this group of young ladies has played together since the year 2005.
Our coaches strive to teach the fundamentals and strategies of fastpitch softball while instilling confidence in the players. We pride ourselves in making the game fun for the kids while challenging them to become their best.
It is our goal to provide an environment and develop relationships that every kid and parent will want to be a part of for the long term. If you are interested in learning more about us, please contact:

For team hitting and pitching instruction we have used Coach Tracy Grindrod, Wallace State-Hanceville Lady Lions Asst. Coach. He provides hitting/pitching instruction and general advice for our college bound athletes. Coach Tracy also manages the Sharks 18U teams during the Wallace State off-season. Congratulations to Coach Tracy and the Lady Lions who just won the 2008 NJCAA Softball National Championship!
For pitching instruction in 2007, we added Coach Gary to the staff. He is Dad of Anna Thompson, the Grissom great who was named Miss Softball Alabama in 2006 and 2004, and now Auburn University Softball Ace. Coach Gary is unavialable during the summer of 2008 due to his job, but we have not given up on helping him get his priorties straight.
We appreciate you visiting our website and please sign our guestbook if you have time. The girls appreciate your words of encouragement.
We chose to be part of the Sharks because of their rich tradition. They are the oldest tournament softball organization in North Alabama and in the past ten years, their players have been offered over 60 college scholarships received over the last 10 years!
Another Sharks team we are closely affiliated with is the Huntsville Sharks 93 team. For more information on the Sharks 93, please contact:

It is with great sadness that the Sharks announce that longtime Shark Katie B. is taking the summer off from softball to focus on her tennis game. This is coming after completing a stunning freshman season for the Grissom Lady Tigers where she led the team in batting average (.404) and was named their MVP. Katie was also named to the All-Tournament Team in the Area Tournament at the end of the season. The Sharks are very proud of her accomplishments and wish her well on the hard courts. Although we do expect to see her back at some point because everyone knows that diamonds are an Ocho's best friend :-P
