TIDE SWIM CLUB
Wausau TIDE is a year-round USA Swim Club. USA swimming is the largest and most recognized swimming organization in the world. The TIDE employs professional swim coaches with years of competitive swimming and coaching experience. TIDE will provide every opportunity for athletes to reach their highest potential at each stage in their swimming career.

Parents of Junior Elite Swimmers- notice of practice location changes
To the Parents of Junior Elite Swimmers:
Tide is growing! In order to assure adequate lane space and coaching attention for our junior elite swimmers, many winter season practices for JUNIOR ELITE swimmers will be held a John Muir (instead of at the UWMC) during the normal practice times. Please make note of the following dates and plan to drop off and pick up your swimmer at John Muir Middle School.
NOVEMBER: 17, 19, 23, 30
DECEMBER: 1, 3, 7, 8, 10, 14, 15, 17, 21, 22

Head Coach Abby Dunham is Honored as Coach Of The Year (AGAIN!)
CONGRATULATIONS COACH ABBY! Wausau TIDE's Head Coach Abby Dunham was recognized as Senior Coach of the Year for 2007 AND AGAIN FOR 2009! Every year the Wisconsin coaches vote on a coach they feel has excelled as a Senior or Age Group Coach. This year the Wisconsin Coaches voted Abby as the Senior Coach of the Year. Abby recieved her award at the Senior State Meet held July 30-Aug 2, 2009.
Abby has been Coaching with the TIDE since 2001. While Abby has been the TIDE Head Coach, the TIDE has had 12 Wisconsin State Champions, 11 Junior National Qualifiers, 2 US Open Qualifiers, 4 Senior National Qualifiers, a top 3 finisher at the Grand Prix Meet, 2 Wisconsin State Record Holders, 2 Wisconsin State Team Championships, 1 Senior Boys State Championship, Mulitiple Speedo Championship and Zone Swimmers. More than 50% of graduating TIDE swimmers go on to swim at the collegiate level. The TIDE offers swimming opportunities for swimmers of all ages and abilities. We are very proud of Abby and CONGRATULATE her for receiving this award.
In addition, TIDE's Dak Stone and Josh Hall were each nominated for senior male swimmer of the year! Congratulations to Josh and Dak for making this important list! We are proud of you!

USA swimming offers Outreach Membership (financial aid) for the year (January to January). When a family has received acceptance for outreach membership through Wisconsin Swimming Inc., the family will also receive a per session discount for the year when swimming TIDE.
