Friday, December 52009 RULE CHANGES
The following rules/regulations have been changed for the 2009 season:
-Children may now play TBall at the age of 4 years old. They must be 4 years old by April 30th, 2009
-Pitch limits:
- 7-8 years old= 50 pitches per day
- 9-10 years old= 75 pitches per day
- 11-12 years old= 85 pitches per day
- 13-16 years old= 95 pitches per day
A pitcher who delivers 41 or more pitches in a game, CAN NOT play the position of catcher for the remainder of that day
-Bats
Junior League:
- The maximum diameter for a bat in Junior League Baseball is REDUCED from 2 3/4 inches to 2 5/8 inches
Major (Little League) Division and below:
- Bat shall not be more than 33 inches in length and no more than 2 1/4 inch in diameter. Metal bats must be stamped with a BPF (Bat Performance Factor) of 1.15 or less
Junior League:
- Bat shall be no more than 34 inches in length, nor more than 2 5/8 inches in diameter, and if wood, not less than 15/16 inch in diameter (7/8 inch for bats less than 30")
Senior League:
- Bats shall not be more than 36 inches in length, nor more than 2 5/8 inch diameter, wood bats follow Junior League rule above. Shall not weigh, numerically, more than 3 ounces less than the length of the bat (example: a 33 inch bat can not weigh less than 30 ounces)
In all divisions, wood bats may be taped or fitted with a sleeve, not more than 16 inches from the small end (18 inches for Jr/Sr). non-wood bat, must have a grip of cork, tape, or composition material, and must extend a minimum of 10 inches from the small end. SLIPPERY TAPE OR SIMILIAR MATERIAL IS NOT PROHIBITED
-Casts may not be worn by players on coaches on field of play, all must stay in the dugout
