A’s Enjoy The View Atop the Rockies…
Brianna Fowler lead the charge against the Rockies in Wednesday night’s matchup between the A’s and Rockies. Pitching four complete innings, Fowler faced 17 batters and striking out four but allowing just 4 hits. Left scoreless until the top of the fourth, Cory Worth hit a triple while Alex Taylor followed with a double, and Brenden Morris nailed a single to close the gap. But the A’s bats ruled the night with hits across the lineup. Colton Clark had a single and triple while Brianna Folwer hit 2 singles with one rocking the top of the fence at 60 mph. Tristan Grimes homered bringing in 3 and singled. Gage Randall had a triple and double with 4 RBIs. Cyrus Kilby shook off the rust with a double and a single, while Chad Gerrie hit a searing double. Kudos go to Elijah Moser for laying down a sweet bunt to load the bases. Congratulations Elijah on your first Little League hit!!!
The Cardinals beat the Rockies 11-2 in six innings on Tuesday at Thurmont after a seven-run explosion in the fifth inning. Austin Reed racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Cardinals. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the fifth inning. Thomas Wood struck out eight hitters en route to the the Cardinals win.
