2010 REGISTRATION/SIGNUPS...

Registration/Signups for the 2010 season will be held on January 9th and January 23rd, from 9 am to 4 pm at the Senior Citizens Center located at 806 East Main Street in Thurmont. All children MUST have a copy of their birth certificate or birth registration card when signing up. Registration will close on the last day of tryouts!!!

BASEBALL

TBall (boys and girls) 4-7 years old

Instructional League 7-8 years old

Minor League 8-11 years old

Little League 9-12 years old

SOFTBALL

 (Ages as of December 31st, 2009)

Instructional 7-8 year olds

U-10 9-10 year olds

U-12 11-12 year olds

U-15 13 to 15 year olds

U-18 16 to 18 year olds 

JUNIOR/SENIOR LEAGUE BASEBALL

(Age as of April 30th, 2010)

Instructional Baeball- $55.00

Minor League Baseball- $55.00

This year the Board of Directors has voted to sell Crab Raffle Tickets for the 2010 season as a fundraiser. All raffle tickets must be paid for in advance at registration at a cost of $25.00 per family for 5 tickets, and will be turned in at an upcoming team mom meeting. This is in addition to your registration fee. If the fees will cause a financial hardship, please notify a Board Member and each case will be handled individually at registration.

NO CHILD WILL BE TURNED AWAY FROM THURMONT LITTLE LEAGUE 

ALL REQUIRED FORMS ARE ON THE SITE UNDER HANDOUTS, PLEASE ENSURE YOU FILL OUT ALL FORMS AND BRING TO REGISTRATION ALONG WITH A COPY OF CHILDS BIRTH CERTIFICATE

TRYOUT DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON  

UMPIRE CLINIC...FREE!!!

An umpire clinic has been set up for all District 2 leagues with individuals interested in learning how to become a better, effective umpire. These clinics will be held on Saturdays beginning January 23rd, 2010 and concluding February 13th. Clinic times are from 8 am- 9 am, at Extra Innings in Frederick. They will teach plate and base umpiring mechanics. Bring any umpiring gear you have. They will also have Maryland State Umpire Association (MSUA) Applications available for you to become certified/registered. If you are interested please email me at jims610@verizon.net 

THESE CLASSES ARE RECOMMENDED FOR ALL COACHS/VOLUNTEERS WHO WILL BE UMPING DURING THE REGULAR SEASON

BOARD MEETING...

The next scheduled Board meeting is Wednesday, January 6th, at 630 pm at the Clubhouse. This meeting is open to the public.
