Potential Players
Potential players are encouraged to email thunderhawksfootball@rallycommunications.net with Name, Height, Weight, & Playing Experience. We have no prerequisites on size, speed, or playing experiences and we encourage anyone who has a love for the game and wants to play to contact us!
Tryouts are on December 10th and January 11th (Before Player Fee is due obviously).
All interested players are encouraged to begin preseason conditioning starting November 5th in the Menomonie High School field house promptly at 7 pm till 8:15 pm. This will run every other week on Thursday's until our first OFFICIAL practice of the 2010 season on January 18th! So to avoid confusion, these dates are November 5th, 19th, & December 3rd. We will have the combine/tryouts/perfomance testing on the 10th. We will give you the month off until January 11th (2nd combine), when we will begin training again. Players are expected to continue working out during this time period off, however it is an important time to spend it with their families and loved ones.
The second (2nd) combine will be on Monday, January 11th. Those who tested on December 10th are expected to be there and cheer on potential Thunderhawks who may have missed the first combine and build camaraderie. Those who have made team will be notified by the 12:00 pm (noon) on January 13th, and expected to attend our first official practice, January 14th, 2010!
For our preseason, we will have 2 portions, starting January 14th, that are a requirement. We will have practice once a week on Thursday's in the Menomonie High School Field House at 7pm till 8:15 pm. This once a week schedule, again starting January 14th, will run through March 4th.
Our second phase, beginning March 8th, we will begin 2 practices a week on Monday's and Thursday nights until our 1st game! These 2 times (TWICE) a week practices will run thru approximately April 22nd. These are required to attend as our system needs to be properly installed and executed by our first game, most likely the 24 of April 2010! (subject to scheduling)
Player fees are going to be $175 paid by February 15, 2010, without exception to be allowed to play on Saturday with the Thunderhawks and no jersey will be ordered until this is done. If said player fees are not paid at this time, player will be allowed to continue to practice but will not be allowed to participate in games. It is understood that it is not fair to the other players who have paid that some shall be not held responsible for their own respective fees.
As a way to reduce your player fees and help the community at the same time, the following is available and strongly ENCOURAGED. If you participate in 3 community events (freedom fest in Menomonie, fair in Menomonie and Chippewa, going to school as team, etc) you get $50 back at end of season 2010. If you particpate in 5+ you get $75 back. If 8 or more community events are participated in, $125 will be given back in exchange for exemplary achievement in representing the Thunderhawks.

Thunderhawks Season Player Agreement
During the season we will be having required practices once a week on either Tuesday's or Wednesday's (scheduling still in negotiation with UW-Stout) and Optional Film work on Friday at the Stout Ale House, with games on Saturdays at Stout and scheduled away games.
