Thornton Baseball Association: Welcome

*** UPDATE ***

We have scheduled another board meeting for Monday, February 8th, at Olinger Highland Cemetery at 5:30PM. Feel free to stop by if you have interests in the meeting.

Thank you all for those who participated in our meeting Sunday evening.

Our next step for TBA is to meet with the City of Thornton on Wednesday.  This meeting should really help us out in deciding what our timeline will look like as we get the 2010 season started, including registration.  We will be scheduling another Board meeting at that point as well and will be set as early as Thursday evening.  Check the website for the time and location of this next meeting, and as always, feel free to join us.

Again, TBA thanks you all for your patience and we will get this season rolling as quickly as possible.

Dear Parents,

Thornton Baseball Association is currently undergoing a restructuring process. Unfortunately, we have had a number of board members leave for various reasons. Therefore, we are currently extending offers out to anyone who would like to join our team and keep TBA the best league in the North Metro area. We will be conducting a number of Board meetings to get our season started. If you are interested in joining the board, or would just like to attend the meetings, please email us at tba@thorntonbaseball.com for more information.

Because of our late start, we will be conducting a condensed registration schedule in order to preserve our regular season timeline. Please keep checking our website for our registration schedule, and other important information as they will be posted here as soon as those decisions are made.

Thank you very much for your patience while we go through this process. We assure you that your TBA volunteers are working diligently to continue to give your child the best experience possible.

                   PLAY BALL!!!!

Thornton Baseball Association is a non-profit youth baseball organization devoted to teaching baseball skills, fundamentals, and GOOD sportsmanship to the next generation of American children. We support baseball for boys and girls from ages 5 to 14. Registration for the summer recreational baseball league usually takes place in January. Practice officially starts in April, and the season runs from May to July.

We also has a competitive division called Storm for kids of ages 9 to 14. Each age has its own team, which plays baseball against similar teams from other towns in the Denver metro area, as well as in other more regional tournaments. Tryouts for the Storm teams are held in the fall after the regular season. Storm teams have both a spring and a summer season. A Storm team will normally play many more games than a recreational team will over the course of the year. Storm players and their parents are also expected to participate in frequent team fundraisers to help offset the cost of playing the season and travel. Storm team costs are not reflected in the recreation team fee schedule.

Please visit the "Handouts" link on the left toolbar to see available registration forms and other important documented information.

TBA Weather Information

All updates are called in by the City of Thornton by 3PM during inclimate conditions. If games or practices have NOT been cancelled by 3PM, or if conditions change after 3PM, it is up to league officials to determine if they are to be cancelled or to continue. League officials are to ensure that activity on the fields during questionable weather conditions can continue without damage to the playing surface or injury to the players, coaches, or spectators.
