FROM THE THMSA BOARD:
Parents are to communicate responsibilities to their players, but parents also have responsibilities. The THMSA Board would like to take this opportunity to list some of the primary responsibilities of parents:
1. Keep a cool head at games; no screaming at coaches or umpires- they are all doing their best and volunteering their time.
2. Provide POSITIVE encouragement and feedback to players; NEVER scream at players on the field or in the dugout.
3. Parents are responsible for their children. Please do not let children hang on our trees and their branches.
4. Help keep the ballpark clean; pick up your trash and put in containers.
5. Make sure your daughter gets to practices and games on time; this only affects your daughter's performance as a player.
6. Notify your coach ahead of time if your daughter will miss a game or practice.
7. Let the girls make mistakes-- it is how they learn best!
8. Provide the appropriate example of behavior and good sportsmanship.

When you pull up to THMSA, you will notice something different....... there are TWO fields that have newly set poles on them for lighting! This is so exciting for us! Thanks to White Construction, Misco and McAllister for helping us get these poles up and set. By the end of June beginning of July we should have FOUR lit fields instead of just two. Thanks to the hard work from Bob Hale, Shawn Hadley, Gavin Hall, Brad Cox, Richard Kennedy, Mike Telezyn, Jeff Jacso and Chad Terry for donating their time different days to help us make our fields better.
We are still working to improve our park. It has taken a lot of work by many but our fields will look so much better because of it. If you are willing to help out in anyway, please let us know!

Did you know that the 14U 'B' Nationals is coming to our backyard? IT IS! This is great news for THMSA and for the Wabash Valley as a whole. The week long tournament will bring in a lot of business for Terre Haute. We expect around 50-70 teams from the midwest to participate in this Nationals. The first night will begin on Tuesday July 26th and the tournament will end on Saturday the 31st. Tuesday and Wednesday will hold some unique and fun filled things for the teams to do while visiting Terre Haute! In the end, someone will become crowned the 14U 'B' Champions!
If you are a business owner and would like to be a part of sponsoring this great event, please check out the website at www.terrehautefastpitch.com for more information!

As of September 1st, the THMSA ballparks became SMOKE FREE?! Our board members all voted to make our park a better place by becoming smoke free. If you are a smoker, you are allowed to smoke in designated areas only. Outside the outfield fencing on all diamonds is one of those places. We are taking part and respecting non-smokers and watching out for our softball players health!!! If you are caught smoking within the THMSA ballparks, you will be asked to move to one of the designated areas. Thanks for your cooperation in this matter!!!!!

Just like everyone else, we need people to support us as well. Below is a sample of what our banners look like, except they are a white backing.
We are currently looking for sponsors for our 2008 Softball season. If you would love to have YOUR name on a team, proudly displayed, please let us know. With the sponsorship fee, you will also get a banner with your name on it that is hung up on our Diamonds.
Jamboree is just weeks away and we would love to have some help!! If you are interested in helping with the Jamboree or you're a local business and would be willing to help us out, please contact the Web Administrator.
