Na Opio O Neia Aina Soccer Club(The Youth of This Land): Welcome
|
||
We are a girls soccer club from the West Side of Oahu or as we say the Leeward Side. We love playing soccer but because of the good weather, we love to go to the beaches also.
Our goal is for kids to play soccer while having fun and learning at the same time. We want to build body, character, develop the physical and mental skills in our youths.
We will guide our players and parents to be winners by teaching instead of criticizing, praising instead of scolding and correcting instead of emphasizing the mistakes. We will strive to be instructional, encouraging, understanding, committed and always behaving in a positive manner.
Our club is open to all who exhibits a deep commitment in a team environment, athletic skills, some experience in soccer, the willingness to learn and the enthusiasm to compete at a level from deep within ones self.
Three things: you gotta want:
- Gotta Want To Be Here
- Gotta Want To Learn
- Gotta Want To Get Better
OUR MOTTO: "OUR FUTURE, OUR KIDS"
Aloha!!

it will not matter what kind of car I drove,
how much I had in my bank account,
nor what my clothes looked like.
But the world may be a little better
because I was important
in the life of a child.
We are in control to the degree that we make the decisions. To affect the outcome of anything, we must control the action at the point of decision making. If we let others make decisions for us, we have no control. When we control the decisions, we control the actions.
Success means doing the best we can with what we have.
Success is in the doing, not the getting
in trying, not the triumph.
Success is a personal standard reaching for the highest that is in us
becoming all that we can be.
If we do our best, we are a success.

"Not everyone who practices every day is a champion. But everyone who is a champion practices every day."

"I make my practices real hard because if a player is a quitter, I want him to quit in practice and not in a game."
(Paul "Bear" Bryant)
"Good Leaders were first good followers"

"It's not necessarily the amount of time you spend at practice that counts; it's what you put into the practice."
(Eric Lindros)
"It's not what you know, but what you do with what you know"

"The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will."
(Vincent T. Lombardi)
"Competing in sports has taught me that if I'm not willing to give 120 percent, somebody else will."
(Ron Blomberg)
"You don't have to sit on top of a mountain to discover what's right for you. You always know in your heart what you need to do. But you do have to ask yourself if you're willing to make choices. Put yourself in a position where you're making choices about your life, rather than letting other people make those choices for you. That's what balance is all about."
(Liz Dolan)
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small people who find it easier to
live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to
change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a
declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary.
Impossible is nothing."
(David Beckham)
Friends......
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they jusT make the most of everything that comes along their way.
