The Strikers finally ran out of gas in their 5th game of the 2005 Pocono Boys Premier Cup. After winning all three of their group games on Saturday (3-0, 2-0, 6-0) and their final group game on Sunday (2-1), the Strikers ran into the Long Island U13B ODP team. The Strikers came out firing, but the crossbar, posts and lady luck just weren't on their side. After missing many attempts, fatigue and injuries from a long weekend of soccer took it's toll on the Strikers and found that they couldn't keep up with the ODP team's unending waves of attack. The Strikers lost 0-3 to Long Island in the Semifinal game. It was a wonderful weekend of soccer that the Strikers will only learn and improve upon.
