The NY Knockout is proud to introduce their new Head Coach Lou Butts. Coach Butts brings a wealth of football knowledge and passion for the game to the team. He hails from Binghamton NY where he was a standout athlete in football and baseball. From there, he went on to UAlbany where he played offensive line for legendary Coach Bob Ford. Following graduation, Coach Butts served as Assistant Coach and Offensive Coordinator at Division IAA Siena College for 5 years. He returned to football last year as the Offensive Coordinator for the NY Knockout and helped reinvigorate their offense.
Coach Butts resides in Rexford NY with his wife Theresa, their son Collin, and soon-to-be baby Henry who will be arriving this December.
From Coach Butts: "I am thankful to the Messemers who brought me back to football and to the players who embraced me. I look forward to continuing to build on what their outstanding family has created in this community. I promise we will bring and exciting and dynamic brand of football to the league and to our fans."

A very special thanks to all who participated in any way in the NY Knockout's efforts to raise money for Brenda's fight against Colon Cancer.

In just 10 short days, The Knockout Family was able to gather donations from:

Mrs. Wachsmuth                 State Street Tatoo                Freeman's Bridge Bike Shop

Barefoot Massage               RAW Juice and Fruit Bar        Monat Gratitude Hair Products

Avictus Cross Fit                The Brunswick Bearcats          The NY Knockout

We were also able to fill the stands and have a great crowd on hand.

Thank you to the Maine Mayhem for their cash donation to the fund.

Friday, June 1

Saturday, June 2, will mark the final game of the NY Knockout's 2018 season.

This game comes with a little added umph to help a loved one.

Head Coach Rich Messemer's little sister, Brenda, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer last week.  The single mother, sister, daughter, friend, and aunt will begin her fight next week with the beginning of her chemo treatments.

As the general manager at the Pizza Hut on Wolf road, and unable to return to work following her surgery to remove portions of her decending colon and numerous lymph nodes for testing, this will be a long road for Brenda.

All proceeds from this final game will be donated to Brenda to help her defray the upcoming cost of her treatments.

There will also be a large raffle to benefit the fund with donations gathered by our players from local businesses.  Items include:

Gift certificates from State Street Tattoo, RAW, Barefoot Massage, Freeman's Bridge Sports and Bike Shop, Aveitas CrossFit, just to name a few, as well as donation buckets at Hunter's on Jay all day on Saturday--and the list is growing!

$5 per entry!!

A Dining-To-Donate at The Recovery Room in Troy on June 21 will also be a part of this fundraiser.
