A WELCOME TO THE 2007 FALL S.E.L.E.C.T. TEAM...
Good luck to the young men who will be representing Legion Basketball Group in the 2007 Competitive Fall League at Cage Fieldhouse. This webpage should be used as your primary source of information for the duration of this Fall Season. Any updates and changes to schedule or policy will be posted/uploaded HERE. Be sure you get into the habit of checking this site at least two times each day...it is your responsibilty to be informed, not depend on others to inform you.
Once again, let's represent our organization and the way we play basketball as best as we can. You are the reason we're here...make it a great season!
Legion S.E.L.E.C.T. -- This Is The Way We Ball...
This year's version of Legion S.E.L.E.C.T. features a spectrum of players that are all competent players and young men with a strong competitive streak, a desire to be coached and improve, and a lot of love for the game.
We have targeted this Fall 2007 Season to serve the following purposes:
1) To create and provide an environment and experience fo continued play and learing at a highly competitive level. Within that understanding; winning as many games as possible, and having fun while doing it.
2) To represent the best interests of the sport of basketball and address the personal needs and goals of these players in a format that is conducive to individual and team success, respect of teammates and coaches, and developing and maintaining friendships.
3) To teach "next-level" understanding of the game of basketball; so that current and future efforts to promote these players with potential futures at the collegian level to the schools and programs that may have interest in them will be more successful.
The Special Evaluation Leadership Excellence and Commitment Team (S.E.L.E.C.T.) is a great tool for all this and more. Come back to this site often for more information to be posted in the days to come...
