With unflattering reports and remarks concerning the downfall (albeit unwarranted) of one of the nations "most innovative" semi-pro football leagues, the Diamond's expansion has once again positioned itself to being one of the best leagues in the nation. The DFL welcomes five new teams:  Carolina Warhawks, The Bay Eagles, Alamance (NC) Bandits, Virginia Beach Wolverines and New Kent County Wolfpack.
