Revolution Win Pittsgrove Tournament
Our own CDSA Revolution (U11 Girls) won their bracket in the Pittsgrove 2009 Annual Labor Day Soccer Tournament. The team started the morning by defeating the Millville Cobras 2-0. In the afternoon, the Revolution beat the Glassboro Wings 7-2, setting up a match against a Swedesboro Comets team that had also won both games against the Millville and Glassboro teams. The Revolution came out a little flat against the Comets and fell behind 1-0 about 10 minutes into the match. That goal energized the team and the Revolution tied the score minutes later, taking a 1-1 score into halftime. In the second half, a rejuvenated Revolution squad scored 2 goals in a 15 minute span to end the contest with a 3-1 victory. Including the Pittsgrove tournament, the Revolution have two first-place finishes and one second-place finish in their last 3 tournaments. Congratulations to the entire Revolution family for a job well done!
