2007 Irish Capture First Win In Franchise History!

Troy's Fighting Irish Semi-Pro Football team captured its first win in franchise history. The Irish won 41-0 over the Glove-Cities Colonials. The Irish jumped out to a quick lead when Quarterback Justin Kastner hooked up with Receiver Nate Rock on the first play of the game for a 66 yard Touchdown and the Irish never looked back posting a shutout win! Quarterback Justin Kastner accounted for three touchdowns (two passing and one rushing) and 345 yards of total offense to pace the Fighting Irish (1-4) over the Colonials (0-4) at Troy High School. 

Nate Rock finished the game with over 100 yards receiving. Irish running back Chad Smith had three short TD runs and gained more than 120 yards rushing.Pleasant Roue intercepted two Glove-Cities passes and returned one for a 36 yard TD.

Nick Yatrakis posted a team high nine tackles for Troy, while teammates Pat Roberts made eight tackles and had one quarterback sack and George Burrell registered two sacks.
