General Camp Information

  • Any returned checks are subject to a $50 fee
  • Payment must be received in full in order to be registered for the camp
  • No refunds will be made within 48 hours of the start of any camp or after camp has started

 

Confirmation Letter

Upon receiving registration and payment you will receive a confirmation letter via email with camp start times, daily schedule, campus map, dorm information as well as any other updated camp information.  Therefore, please provide an accurate email address.

Camp Goals:

The primary goals are to have a fun and enjoyable experience while improving each camper's skills and knowledge of the game of basketball through individual instruction and actual game competition.

Eligibility:

Per NCAA rules, Texas Tech University camps are open to any and all entrants.  Enrollment is limited only by age and grade level as specified by each camp.

Staff:

The camp staff will consist of the Texas Tech Men's Basketball coaching staff, current and former Texas Tech players, and other high school and college coaches.  Additionally, a full-time trainer will be available at all times.  The coach-to-player ratio is 1:10; which provides a great opportunity for each camper to receive maximum amount of individual instruction.  Campers are grouped according to grade, age, and ability.

Dorms & Meals:

All overnight campers will stay in a dormitory on the Texas Tech University campus.  All rooms are air-conditioned and each floor will have several camp coaches to supervise the campers.  All meals are served at the dorm and are all-you-can-eat buffet style.  There will be a camp store at the dorm and arena where campers can purchase Texas Tech apparel, soft drinks, sports drinks, pizza, snacks, ect.

What to Bring:

All campers are encouraged to bring basketball shoes.  A backpack and walking around shoes are recommended as well.  Additionally, overnight campers will need to bring enough clothes for four days.  Each camper will need to bring his own toiletries; linens (twin bed long), pillows, towels, alarm clock, and shower shoes are recommended.

Roommates:

The dorms only allow two campers per room.  If for some reason a roommate is not requested, we will assign a roommate that is the same age or very close in age.  For those campers wishing to stay overnight and have roommate assignments, we ask that both campers wishing to room together send their applications in together.

Camp Facilities:

Camp will be held at one of the nicest arenas in all of college basketball.  The United Spirit Arena, The Practice Gymnasium, and the Student Recreation Center.  All of these are on the Texas Tech University campus in close proximity to the dorms.

Transportation:

Transportation is available to and from the Lubbock International Airport and/or Lubbock Bus Station.  To make arrangements please contact the camp ASAP.  PLEASE CALL 806.742.7608
