The Texas Red Raiders (Formerly known as the Texas Thunder) are a premier minor-league professional football team. We are a team that believes that structure, organization, discipline and professionalism will lead to inevitable success. We are a community-based organization with a compelling relationship with the neighborhoods and citizens of Houston.
We understand that football can be used as a positive outlet for some of our at-risk young men as well. We give our players a sense of family and make them want to continue and strive to do better. We're maintaining an outstanding staff full of individuals that see the big picture. It is our intent to give our players and fans a team that they can get behind and support in knowing that we have their best interest at heart. We play at a level that has reached national
recognition and are looking to do more.

On June 13, 2009 the Texas Red Raiders will host the Texas Wolverines for the right to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl! The one seed Red Raiders got to the Conference Championship game with a forfeit win over the Gulf Coast Outlaws after they had beaten them 46-0 the prior week. The second seed Wolverines won a 27-6 game against the Cleveland Outlaws. This will be the third and final meeting of this year; the Red Raiders have won both meetings this season. But this game has much more on the line and should be one heck of a battle between the (11-2)Texas Wolverines and (14-0) Texas Red Raiders!
