Bullard's Rumbelow Commits to Defending National Champions LSU
BULLARD -- Bullard's Nick Rumbelow made an oral commitment on Wednesday to play baseball at Louisiana State University after his senior season.
The pitcher/infielder got the call he wanted from the reigning national champions after fielding several other Division I offers.
"They (LSU pitching coach David Grewe) watched me play at Texas A&M and said they would be talking to us and see if they could get me to be a part of the LSU family," Rumbelow said. "They called Tuesday night and made an offer, and after talking with my parents, I called them back this morning and confirmed that I was taking their offer."
Other schools recruiting Rumbelow included Clemson, Oregon State, Tulane, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, TCU, Florida, Miami, Mississippi State, Mississippi and Rice. "After going down and meeting the coaches and the players, the tradition the school has to offer, and a degree from LSU speaks for itself," said the right hander, who also plays for the Texas Prospects of the Texas Showcase League.
