Welcome to the Texas Pride 98 Web Site, which is made up of players born in 1998. The team plays under the Texas Pride Softball organization and began play in fall 2006. We began 12U play in September 2009. The team completed 10U play with 6 tournament championships and are the reigning ASA 10U B Region 7 Champions. Texas Pride Softball works to prepare players for competitive and tournament play towards high school softball and beyond. The only organization endorsed by the three Plano senior high school coaches, Texas Pride Softball provides year-round training including indoor batting facilities and reserved practice fields. We are always interested in developing new players and if you're interested in working towards competitive softball, this is a unique opportunity to join one of the largest organizations in Texas.

Pride 1st in Forney 10/25/09
After an unbelievable weekend of softball, the 98 Texas Pride team prevailed as the Champions in Forney. After loosing their 1st Bracket Game against the Shadows, they won 8 straight elimination games and battled back through the losers bracket to eventually meet and beat the Shadows 10 -2 in the Championship game. The Pride athletes outscored their opponents 75 - 22 in bracket play and won 6 games on Sunday back to back (no breaks). Great playing Pride in winning your 1st 12U Championship!
Texas Pride Wins Division 7 Regional Championship
Playing under extreme circumstances, the young ladies from the 98 Texas Pride team overcame all obstacles and won the 2009 ASA Division 7 Regional Championship held in Angleton, Texas going undefeated for the Championship. All games were played in 100+ temperatures. The quarter-final game was played through a 40 minute rain shower and an hour rain delay readying the field for play. In the semi-final game, the Pride lost one of their best players and lead off hitter to injury but still pulled together for the victory. The Championship game was a classic dual with the Pride busting through late in the game. What a tremendous tournament against teams all throughout Texas!
98 Texas Pride - 2009, What a Season!
Wow, what a season. July, 2009 ended the 10U season for the the 98 Texas Pride, and wow what a season it was. The first major breakthrough came in May 2008 when the Pride broke through with their first Tournament Championship in Southlake. After they proved that they could win, playing on Sundays became a habit and they followed up Southlake with tournament Championships in Carrolton-Farmers Branch (September, 2008), and Craig Ranch (October, 2008). After taking the winter off, they followed up with tournament Championships at Craig Ranch (April, 2009) and Garland (2009). After a 2nd place finish in the Dallas Metro Championships, they traveled to Angleton, Texas for the ASA Region 7 Championships. Playing their best softball of the year they prevailed through extreme conditions and won the ASA Region 7 Championships. The Fall, 2009 Season was more of the same. After fighting the rainy weather most of the fall, the Pride was able to enter 12U play with tournaments in Mesquite and Garland. After becoming more comfortable playing girls 50 pounds heavier and a foot taller, the Pride settled down and played some great softball and won 1st in Forney and 4th in Keller. The 2009 year ended with a final record of 67 wins and 18 losses. Wow, what a season!

Texas Pride Non Roster Program
Texas Pride Softball maintains a developmental program for non roster players. The program is designed for the player who is not quite ready for competitive softball and wants to opportunity to improve their skills with the 10U team. Although non roster players do not participate in league or tournament games, they are invited to all other practices and activities. Since we normally practice twice a week, this usually means they are eligible for 16 to 20 hours of practice each month. The cost of the program is $10 per practice and does not have any commitments, it is just a month to month arrangement, so you can practice until you are satisfied with your skills. This allows more players access to great facilities and drills. If you are interested in the Non Roster program, email coach Sattler at msattler@msn.com.
