Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League: Welcome

Welcome to the Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League (TGHSLL) website.

The TGHSLL is the governing body for women's lacrosse teams at the high school level in Texas and northwest Louisiana. We are comprised of over 50 programs and include both public and private schools.  We have experienced steady growth over the last decade, adding more than 25 varsity programs since the league's inception in 2003.

The primary mission of the TGHSLL is to grow the sport, maintain the integrity of the league, and provide a level playing field on which teams can compete and determine a champion. We govern team and player eligibility, while striving to provide opportunities for all young women who would like to play lacrosse in Texas and Louisiana. We are divided into three districts. The North District covers Dallas, Fort Worth, and Shreveport LA. The Central District covers Austin and San Antonio. The South District covers Houston and surrounding communities. Each District is further divided into two divisions based on relative competitiveness, with league champions determined for each division at the annual State Championship Tournament.
