PLAYERS BEWARE!!!!
PLAYERS BEWARE!!
The Pro Football Institute is at it again. They are signing up players at $200 each with the promise they will be part of a up coming Overseas Allocation Draft. No such draft exsists. Here is information you want to read.
Minor League Football News and Free Agent Scouting Combines has been asked many times by athletes about playing American Football in Europe. It has also been pointed out that Pro Football Institute and Ben and Ralph Parks is promoting itself as an agent for the placement of players withe the European Federation Football Teams and is attempting to formulate an "Overseas Allocation Draft" to place American players in professional contracts with these teams.
Rudy Wyland, Director and Head Coach of TeamUSA Football, is one of several people in the USA who has intimated knowledge of how players are selected and paid to play by European teams playing American Football. "Its simply not realistic", say Wyland. "First of all, most teams in Europe are allowed only a very small number of athletes with American Passports on their rosters. Usually 4 or 5 with only 2 allowed on the field at any moment. There is no such drafting system in place in Europe and, because of the way the teams and leagues work, there never will be. Second, the budgets for these teams in gnerally pretty small. A player only receives a small salary each month along with housing, meals, transportation, etc. To have an agent trying to take a piece of that small salary just doesn't work and it makes no sense.
PFI charges a fee of $200 to join their database of players making them "eligibe" for their combines, workouts and to enter an allocation draft in Europe that just doesn't exist and never has. Before you hand over your money to an organization who promises these sort of things do your research.
FOOTBALL DOES NOT BUILD CHARACTER, IT REVEALS ITS!
