Are they still around? I have not kept up with this Houston League. Ooo I forgot the GCFA. The intent of this organization, the Gulf Coast Football Association, was to put the highest-level teams together. This should give the highest level of competition game in the nation. The charter members Stacio Galvan, Rene Torres, Monday Miller and Johnny Salinas had a great idea, but now things changed! If you let one-person make decisions, *** will hit the fan.
It may get better or at Smithy won't be able make money. I know that they are working in making a intercity league. Now we know that they will all play at Smithy Field (PARK). Now the money will fall closer to his pockets.
The original dream is lost, this is another 2AA league and should consider merging with the TUFL.
My recommendation is to stays away!
