District 16 achieves the ASAP 100% Safety Compliance for 2009 Season 

Thanks to the hard work of our leagues and specially our safety officer, Donna Hatter, our District achieved 100% safety compliance under the ASAP program for the 2nd year in a row 

The players in our district benefit by the prevention of injuries. Two factors important in getting the job done is safety prevention and awareness.

The section 3 tournaments are being held to determine the teams advancing to the Texas East State Tournament in Tyler Texas starting on July 25th. Tournament brackets are posted in the Sectional page.  Updates are as follows with District 16 winning 4 out of 5 divisions going to the State Tournament.  Good luck to all.

9-10 Yr Old - West University Am. wins over D14, Santa Fe to become the Section 3 champion and advance to State.  CONGRATULATIONS 

10-11 Yr Old - First Colony Nat'l wins over Pearland White to become the Section 3 Champion and advance to State.  CONGRATULATIONS

Little League - First Colony American won over Sagemont last night to become the Section 3 Champion and advance to State.  CONGRATULATIONS 

Juniors - D14, Galveston West Isle won the Section 3 Tournament

Seniors - D16, West University Wins the Section 3 Tournament and advances to State. CONGRATULATIONS

The Texas East State Tournament is being held in Tyler Texas at the Rose Capitol west LL complex.  The brackets can be located by clicking the state page. 

9/10 Yr. Old - West University lost to Lamar Am in the final game to take 2nd in the State Tournament.   CONGRATULATIONS

 10/11 Yr Old - First Colony Nat'l defeats Lamar in the final game to become the State Champions.  CONGRATULATIONS

 Seniors -  West University Seniors defeated Crockett 3 to 2 to become the State Champions.  On to Regionals.  CONGRATULATIONS  .
