District 16 achieves ASAP 100% Safety Compliance for 2010  (Third Straight Year)

Thanks to the hard work of our leagues and specially our safety officer, Donna Hatter, our District achieved 100% safety compliance under the ASAP program The players in our district benefit by the prevention of injuries. Two factors important in getting the job done is safety prevention and awareness.

The Texas East Section 3 tournament D16 game scores are shown below  

latest information as of July 20 games, 

District 16 teams win 4 out of 5 Section 3 tournament.  They now will go to Tyler to participate in the Texas East State Tournament begining on July 24th. .  Winning 4 out of 5 is a great accomplishment    District 16 will once again be well represented at State.  Good luck to all of our teams.

9/10 Yr. Old -  First Colony Am. defeated Pearland White 11 to 1 to win the Section 3 championship.  Congratulations

11 Yr. Old -   West University Am. defeated Santa Fe 7 to 3 to become the Section 3 champion.  Congratulations

Little League - Pearland White won over League City Nat. 4 to 3 and they will will be going to the state tournament. 

Juniors - Post Oak won over Pearland White 14 to 0 for the Section 3 championship   Congratulations

Seniors - West University won over Sagemont 8 to 3 in the first game and defeated Sagemont 4 to 1 in the second game to become the Section 3 Champion. Congratulations

The Texas East State tournament was held July 24th - 27th in Tyler Texas.  Final tournament results are shown below for information.  Tournament brackets are posted on the State Tournament Brackets link. District 16 wins two State Championships and two runner-ups.

9/10 Yr. Old - First Colony American lost to Lamar Am. 17 to 7.  Lamar Am. wins State.  First Colony Am. is 1st runner up.

10/11 Yr. Old - West university defeated Lamar Am. D18, 15 to 6 to win the State Championship.   CONGRATULATIONS

Majors - Pearland White defeated Jasper 10 to 0.  Pearland wins State.

Juniors - Post Oak lost to Tyler Rose Capitol East D10 4 to 3.  Rose Capitol wins State. Post Oak is 1st runner up.

Seniors - West University defeated Beaumont Amelia D12, 4 to 2 to win the State Championship.   CONGRATULATIONS
