First Practice is scheduled for Monday, November 2nd. Please wear shorts, t-shirt and wrestling shoes which can be purchased at most sporting goods stores (or sneakers).
There will be a meeting for parents at this practice so that we can let you know what to expect and answer any questions you may have.
2009-2010 PRACTICE SCHEDULE: All practices are held at the Wynn Middle School.
Grades K-4: Monday and Wednesday 5:30-6:30 pm
Grades 5-8: Monday, Wednesday 6:30-7:30 pm and Thursday 6:00-7:30 pm.
MVC Wrestling League: The Tewksbury 4th-8th graders had a very successful first season in the new MVC league, 80 lb MVC League Champion Ryan Carey will be returning this season.
We will be competing again this year in 15 weight classes against competitors from across the Merrimack Valley and NH.
State Championships: Tewksbury’s two returning State Champions, Fran Pino and Ryan Wackrow along with many returning wrestlers will compete again this year.
Individual Tournaments:Tewksbury had numerous Tournament champions and place winners from K thru 8 grades at the various tournaments that we participated in.
SCRIMMAGES: Scrimmages will be held on most Saturday mornings (usually from 8-10AM. Most are local ( Tyngsboro, North Andover,Chelmsford).
Scrimmages are an excellent opportunity to experience live wrestling in a less formal atmosphere than tournaments.
TOURNAMENTS: Almost every Sunday during the season there will be a tournament for any wrestlers interested in competing. We will be posting a complete schedule of the Tournaments that Tewksbury PAL wrestling will be competing in at a later date. The cost of a tournament is usually around 10 dollars . Attendance at all tournaments is optional.
UNIFORM POLICY. The official uniforms will be team shirts and shorts that are included with the registration fee.
Uniforms are required for scrimmages.
Uniforms or team singlets may be worn to tournaments. Wrestling shoes and headgear can be purchased at Whirl-away sporting goods in Methuen 500 Merrimack St Methuen, MA 01844-4705 Phone: (978) 688-8356
SINGLETS. Team singlets can be purchased through Tewksbury PAL . Michelle Wackrow will be placing an order at the start of the season.
NEWSPAPER ARTICLES: We will place team and individual results throughout the year in the local papers ( Town Crier/Tewksbury Advocate). Please e-mail .jpg pictures to tpalwrestling @yahoo.com and we will try to include these in the paper as well.
WRESTLING CLUBS: There are many wrestling clubs in the area for those wrestlers who would like to learn some advanced moves and increase their competetion.

SNOW/CANCELLATION POLICY: In the event that there is a snow storm on a practice night, practice will be cancelled if all after school activities are cancelled.
END OF SEASON BANQUET: Tewksbury PAL Wrestling hosts an end of season banquet each year at the Bunting Club on the Tewksbury/Lowell line.
The food is catered by French's and is excellent.
Guest speakers have been former/current Patriots Russ Francis,Pete Brock,Garin Veris, Russ Hochtein and others.
Tewksbury's Coach Brian Aylward is always there to tell the young wrestlers what it means to be "Tewksbury Tough".
