The beginnings of TEAM STORM...
The Storm began in 2001 as a recreational softball team playing in the 8U age-group in the Sharpsburg Regional Softball Association. Many SRSA teams have proudly worn the name "Storm" over the years. Storm teams have enjoyed many successful seasons of recreational play. For 5 consectutive summer seasons, 2001-2005, at least one Storm team played as an SRSA's age-group All-Stars. Following a very successful 2005 All-Star season and to keep the girls together building their skills, Storm coaches offerred to help the girls to the next step: travel ball.
During the summer 2005 All-Star season the 10U Storm played in many tournaments. Those tournaments included: JUNE 4TH - GSA RECREATIONAL STATE, SOPHMORE JUNE 18TH - GSA ALLSTAR STATE, FRESHMAN JUNE 25TH - GSA SENIOR, JUNIOR STATE JULY 2ND - ESA FREEDOM RINGS JULY 9TH - GSA WORLD WARM-UP JR. DIVISION JULY 16TH - 17TH GSA WORLD TOURNAMENT The Storm finished 1st place in these 6 tournaments and ended their 2005 All-Star season with a record of 24-5.
