Welcome to the Team Alexandria Website !

Team Alexandria is an Amateur Athletic Union basketball organization based in Alexandria, VA.  Doing good things for good people.

Our Mission

To cultivate an environment of sportsmanship among players, coaches, parents and the community through fundamental skill set development and wisdom via the game of basketball.

Our Goal

To provide the foundation for our youth to develop the academic and self motivational tools necessary to lead successful adult lives.

"Coach Rob" Richardson is the President and Head Coach of Team Alexandria.  Coach Rob has coached a variety of youth sports in Alexandria, VA for over 30 years! 

Team Alexandria consists of teams from the ages of 8 - 14 years of age.  If you are interested in joining Team Alexandria please give Coach Rob a call at 703-307-9655 or send us an e-mail at teamalexandria@hotmail.com and we will contact you with more details on how you can become part of our team!

We are looking for Sponsors ! 

Sponsorship opportunities are available!  Team Alexandria is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit, all volunteer run organization affiliated with the Youth Basketball of America (YBOA), Amateur Athletic Association (AAU) and United States Basketball Association(USBA). Each year, we raise funds to sponsor athletes whose families lacked the resources to participate and to assist teams with their tournament expenses. If you are interested in sponsoring a team or a player, or would like to nominate a player for a scholarship, please contact James Fleet at jfleet@gmail.com
