My name is Scott Hundemer and I am the Head Coach for Tomahawks Team #9.  I
wanted to welcome all of you and your families to Team #9 and give some
information on what to expect for the upcoming season.

First, what our goal is as coaches is to teach the fundamentals of football
while having fun and keeping the boys safe. What we expect from the players is
to be to practice on time, ready to play in the correct football gear with their
listening ears on. The correct football gear is all appropriate pads, helmet,
athletic supporter, Tomahawk colored shirts and shorts (red,black,gray or white)
and black football cleats. They cannot wear baseball or soccer shoes.


Important Dates:

Saturday June 20th is equipment handout at Skatetown USA on 747 from 9-3.  Our
time slot to pick up is from 1045-200. If you cannot make it at that time you
may come earlier. There will be a doctor on hand for physicals and also a
supplier to purchase football gear. Please be sure to bring your drivers license
and proof of residency.

Saturday June 27th from 10-1230 Team #9 get together (place TBA). This is when
the boys will meet one another, get practice jerseys and paperwork that needs to
be finished before the 1st day of practice. We will have games for the boys to
play and have some fun together. Please be sure to bring plenty of water.

Monday July 27th is the first day of practice at Hopewell Junior behind the
tennis courts. The first 3 weeks we will practice Monday-Thursday from 6-8or
8:30 depending on how much we can accomplish during practice. After the Preview
game we will cut back to Monday, Tuesday and Thursday practices from 6-8 or
8:30.

Saturday August 8th is our annual Team #9 pool party in Rolling
Knolls subdivision. I will send time and place info asap. Players with the last
name A-L please bring a side dish and players with the last name M-Z please
bring a dessert. Please bring beverages for your family (alcohol is permitted
for adults).

August 8th is the Tomahawks Football Jamboree. This is where all the Tomahawk
teams play one another in one 20 minute half to kick off the season. We play all
home games at Tomahawk Stadium behind the West Freshman School.

August 15th is our preview game. We will face another team outside of Lakota.

August 22nd our season begins.  I will send out a schedule as soon as I receive
one.

At least one day during the season we have to cover the field from open to close
as a team. We will need everyone to volunteer to help things run smoothly. We
will need help for concessions, grill, announcement booth etc. I will send more
info when I receive it.

Finally, I will need a Team mom(s) to help with collecting paperwork, putting
together an end of year party, team outings etc. If interested please let me
know.

I know this is a lot of information at once but feel free to contact me at
