Tri-County won the championship game with a 3-1 score against the Albany Engineers. Michael Chappone received the tournament MVP trophy for the team. Great job team!!!
Saturday, December 29 TCYH Squirt Travel Brings Home the Silver from Erie Congratulations to Coaches Jesse Rausch, Adam Driscoll, Joel Berg, Spencer Begemann and the Squirt Travel team for bringing home the silver medal from the Erie Icemen Tournament, December 27-28, 2007. After winning 2 games and tying 1 game, the team advanced to the championship game finishing in second place. This teams hard work and dedication certainly showed throughout the tournament. Their team play and extraordinary bond was displayed when members of the team passed on their winning MVP medals on to other teammates. Kirby Trask was awarded the MVP medal after the first game. When being selected for the MVP medal again after the 2nd game, Kirby felt his teammates deserved recognition as well so graciously and independently passed his medal on to team member Matt Rowell. Lucas Hull was honored with the third MVP medal. Matt Rowell was awarded the MVP after the 4th game and felt as Kirby did earlier, so then passed his medal on to team member, Monica Benjovsky. This amazing display of unselfishness, sportsmanship, and team spirit was done by 10 year old kids without any asking or persuasion from the coaches or parents. Way to go Squirt Travel -- TEAM !!! Saturday, December 29 TCYH Squirt Travel Coaches Play Coaches Game in Erie The Erie Icemen sponsored a Coaches Game in Erie December 28, 2007. We are proud to report that the talented TCYH coaches, Jesse Rausch, Adam Driscoll, and Joel Berg scored the only 4 goals of the game for their team. The exciting game ended in a 4-4 tie which took the teams into a shootout. Be sure to mention (and rib) to Jesse, Adam, and Joel, that they let us down in the shootout when the only puck allowed into the net was from the opposing team. I'm not sure who had more fun, the coaches, the kids they coach, or the parents. A great time had by all! Wednesday, October 17 Bantam Major Travel Wins Canandaigua Tournament...
