Tri-County Youth hockey today mourns the loss of Rick Albano, who was truly one the good guys and a long-time supporter of youth sports in the area. To us, Rick was a SUNY Brockport Rink Supervisor from 2001 to 2007, but he was much more than just the Zamboni driver to the many that had the luxury of meeting and getting to know him at the rink. Rick was always in good mood, quick to make you smile or laugh, even at yourself, no matter what the situation. If you had a few minutes, he was glad to share a story with you or tell you how proud he was of the latest accomplishments of his wife or his sons. 

Rick may have also umpired some of your children’s baseball games during the Summer, or you may have run into him at the Genesee Country Museum while he was working or on Sunday nights playing Zamboni hockey with the Yellow team. Either way, the world lost a positive influence this past Saturday, so please keep Rick’s family in your daily thoughts. He was 55.

The House Evals will be held on September 6th and 7th.
